Tidmore named to Ad 2 Dallas’ 32 Under 32

Ad 2 Dallas is an affiliate of AAF Dallas, and is exclusively geared toward professionals 32 years of age and under. The organization named its inaugural class of “32 Under 32,” recognizing the best young professional in the Dallas marketplace. That listed included our own ACD/writer Cody Tidmore. In just three years with the agency, Cody has established himself as an integral part of the team, which was proven when he was promoted to Associate Creative Director this past December. We couldn’t be happier that his talents are being recognized in the industry.

A Sweet New Client: Rice’s Honey

After a national review, Johnson & Sekin has been named AOR for Rice’s Honey. The Greeley, Colorado company was founded in 1924 by L.R. Rice who sold his family’s local raw & unfiltered honey door-to-door and at farmer’s markets. Today, the company sells nearly 20 different local raw & unfiltered honeys at national retailers including Kroger, Costco, Amazon and Walmart . New packaging, website, digital advertising and trade promotions will break early in 2018.

Giving Joy to Santa’s Helpers

In the spirit of the season, the agency donated bicycles on behalf of our clients on the final night of WFAA’s 49th Annual Santa’s Helpers toy drive.  Bikes are generally the most requested Christmas gift, but those wishes oftentimes go unfulfilled due to the higher cost and low donations.

Named to Ad Ages’ “Best Places to Work”

Johnson & Sekin has been named one of Advertising Age’s “Best Places to Work.” Ad Age’s list is comprised of just 50 companies nationally, with Johnson & Sekin claiming the #30 spot on the prestigious list in its first year applying for the award. Johnson & Sekin is just one of three agencies in Texas, and the only agency in Dallas, to receive the distinction. The “Best Places to Work” survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the Advertising and Marketing industries, benefiting the industry’s economy, workforce and businesses.

Spreading the News About Down Syndrome in Times Square

The 23rd Annual National Down Syndrome Society “BuddyWalk” took place in New York City over the weekend. Nearly 2000 families with Down Syndrome family members attended the event that NDSS President Sara Hart Weir describes as “the cornerstone of our NDSS awareness and advocacy efforts.”

J&S contributed to the event via our Blake’s Snow Shack campaign, which was featured in Times Square courtesy of Clear Channel Spectacolor.

The NYC event kicks off Buddy Walk events that will be held in 275 cities across the country throughout October’s National Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Approximately one in every 700 babies in the United States is born with Down syndrome, making it the most common chromosomal condition.
