Tied for the most of any ad agency in Dallas,
Agency celebrates 5th anniversary with 14 awards.

Dallas, Texas (March 4, 2014) The 2014 Dallas ADDY Awards, the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Dallas Chapter’s gala awarding the best in Dallas advertising, occurred last week at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. And while this year’s show may be over, one local agency continues to be the talk of the town.

Johnson & Sekin took home took home 14 total awards, tying for the most of any agency in this year’s competition. A total of 485 entries were submitted – a record for AAF Dallas. Despite winning over 10% of the 131 total awards, the shop has only 18 employees – far below the size of most agencies competing.

“We’re tremendously excited about our success at the 2014 ADDYs,” said Chris Sekin, co-founder of Johnson & Sekin. “It’s a true testament to our amazing clients, vendor partners and our incredibly talented employees. And it’s a great gift for our agency’s 5th birthday,” he said.

Art Director Kent Johnson and Copywriter Chris Sekin formed the agency in March 2009 following many years as creative partners at The Richards Group. They moved into their current XXXX space at 800 Jackson Street in 2012.

2014 ADDY Awards for Johnson & Sekin were 1 Silver for Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, 1 Bronze for Caliber Collision, 3 Silver and 7 Bronze for Dallas Comedy House, and 2 Silver for Luscher’s Post Oak Red Hots.

The Silver winners will move on to the regional ADDY Award competition and those winners will move on to the national ADDY Awards.
